Tips on choosing a birthday cake

Once you have a number of guests in mind, you can ask the bakery! As a basic rule of thumb a 10-inch square birthday cake will be enough for around 40 children to get a piece (but take into account the cake its average capacity of seven years is quite incredible!) The same size of 10 inches cake that is sufficient for about 25 adults.The numbers for a 12-inch cake would be 60 children or 36 adults, a child of 14 inches, 80 and 50-ish.
What flavor would you like cake? Chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream? Or sponge and vanilla buttercream? At this point, give an idea of whether a gluten-free or eggless sponge would be an appropriate choice - most of the bakers that offer these options require a little more time to prepare the cake.
